Dr. Carl Carlucci
Advisory Board Member – Business Administration
Dr. Carlucci has held posts in government and higher education, and currently serves as an Instructional Professor in the University of Houston Masters of Public Administration program.
Dr. Carlucci was Secretary to the New York State Assembly Ways & Means Committee for six years, responsible for the development of the State’s financial laws and annual budget bills. He was appointed as the First Deputy Comptroller in the Office of the New York State Comptroller where he supervised the deputy comptrollers responsible for state audit and accounting, local government financial oversight, the New York State and Local Retirement System and the state pension fund investments.
Between these appointments in government, Dr. Carlucci worked at universities as a faculty member and as the university Chief Financial Officer. In the private sector he has served as a board member for an investment bank and a mutual fund.
Carlucci earned a Ph.D. from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Administration at the Graduate School of Arts and Science, a master’s degree in public policy and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stony Brook University.
